My Favourite Websites for October 2014

Think Geek

A girl’s got to have a e-shop for all of her geeking out needs. This little  electronic butterfly friend will most likely satiate a portion of my Steampunk needs for October.

Bored Panda

I’m definitely a huge fan of 9gag, but nothing beats Bred Panda so a touch of the artistic. From mind-bowing photography to user-interactive “Open Lists”, this site is the first place I’ve been going for a bit of visual stimulation.  My favourite open list so far: Heartwarming Photos of Kids Playing with Their Cats

Typography Served

Another website teeming with visual delicacies – specifically focused on one of the elements of design that I adore the most. Typography Served features artists and their work – the artists get a spotlight on their creations and we get to know more about what, and who, is out there. I love these postcards by Rachel Brown.

 Handmade Charlotte

It’s no secret that I love crafty things. I stumbled onto this website looking for some ideas for party decorations and I haven’t left yet. With Halloween coming up the levels of creativity emanating from this URL are high. Spooking milk bottles, why not?

Cape Markets

My man and I love markets – absolutely LOVE them. We’ve visited a few advertised in the area, but then I found this beauty. I expect we’ll be popping in to them all if we can.
